Open and Distance Learning for Sustainable Development

Sustainable development involves proffering creative solutions to various kinds of problems that have arisen as world economies become more integrated. Open and distance learning is one of such creative solutions for resolving issues which border on sustainability such as teacher education, meeting the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), and capacity building.

The Conference team invites participants from all developing nations and beyond; attempts will be made to provide translations for Francophne, Lusophone and Arabic speaking participants.

The African Council for Distance Education (ACDE) is a continental educational organization comprising African universities and other higher education institutions, which are committed to expanding access to quality education and training through open and distance learning.
